steam problem

hey guys ive had a problem and cant get steam to run at all. i think i noticed after doing the last microsoft update i click on the steam icon and i get updating steam files then gives second message unable to connect to steam try again later. this has been for the last 2 days any one else have a problem with this. i have tryed turning cpu off and back on but dont want to go threw another install with the tons of maps i got and my cs realism pack all that stuff again. any ideas??? :shootme:

That last update adds a new thingy to your computer (lol) that blocks internet access to things. A window will come up and ask if you want to keep blocking "such and such". Could it be that you just closed the window not knowing what it did?
