Website speeds

Is it just me, or does this site seem really slow. It is annoying to have to wait so long (5 secs) to load a webpage, especially when you're going back and forth through the forums. Anyone else having this problem? Other sites are fine. /input please.

there was an issue on the isp's end, they found it and got it taken care of, it should be better now

You know, this is a 'Technical Help' thread... My cable is fast enough for a website. 3MB/384. I get 370KB/s downloads so thats not it.

Yea it happens to me too, I had to run an optimizer on IE to speed things up.

Yellow - have you tried anything besides IE? I'm loving Mozilla Firefox - the earlier versions weren't that great and were kinda buggy, but I've been using PR1 for a couple of months now and I've been very happy - I can never go back to IE until they put in tabbed browsing - I'm so used to "middle-clicking" everything now :D

I use Firefox. My internet is plenty fast. I do not download porn when I'm browsing (don't even have a filesharing program running.) My resources are free. Other sites work fine. It still takes a long time load this stuff. Could it be just that the server is slow?

try going into your user cp and turning off everyones avatar's and signatures...see if that helps...

Turning off sigs and avts didn't help. Mostly because they're stored in my cache.
