i would try and talk you out of that pentium 4 and set u straight with a amd athlon 64 3000, but it looks like your minds made up. i have a thermaltake xaser v6000 and i love it. and now is the time to grab the 9800 pro cuz its at a great price, and all the gamer really needs

Man, if you got some better ram (hint: 1GB Corsair XMS), that comp would be SCREAMING for a CPU overclock.

3.0C, what I have in one of my comps, is a GREAT overclocker, I have it at 3.8 with my 1GB CXMS. 9800pro also, great overclocker.

If you really want an Intel, why didn't you get one of the Prescott's w/ the 1MB L2?

cuz the prescott's 3.0ghz actually show slower performance and give off more heat when compared to northwoods 3.0 ghz... prescotts show off, higher up in the run at higher speeds... 3.0C runs cooler so if he ever wants to OC it, you can easily get higher results than with a prescott.

tht ram i got in there now is just temporary, later on iima get some XMS because i am going to OC it... i just cant do it with that ram.. and who knows i might just go ahead and get the better ram now... oh well :d:

my only recommendation saber would be to get a better vid card, something in the 64 mb range would be fine if all you play is cs (ie nvidia mx440 would be great, just ask yellerdawg...heheh)
