college dorm internet question

Well i'm going to be a freshman this year, and i decided to live in the dorm. My one friend just moved into his and he tried playing cs last night and his ping was 1000+ the whole time. Does dorm internet usually suck this badly? Cause i cant go 2 days without cs, much less the whole school year!!!! Thx for any feedback.

it depends on what kind of internet your school supplies, Apoc and me both had pretty good ping most of the time. Some schools block gaming ports, and there are ways to get around that... but you;'ll have to wait to get to school to find out what the deal is. GL squidy.

At tech frost??? I had to use every string i have to get off campus. For 2 years they kept puttin it back on my fees. I always went in there like, WTF, im not living on campus tards!
