I read this article (thanks to another thread..hehehe). I have the CPU they tested (XP2400).

My concerns are the with the mounting and also longevity of my processor. If it really does what this guy claims, I would be an idiot not to invest 15 bucks.

Damn Sabre I may buy that from you... I have 384MB PC 2100 memory laying around, some hard drives, cases, CD-ROMs, etc.. Everything but a working board.

I have 2 Athlon XP 2400+ cpus, a Athlon XP 2000+ cpu, and an Athlon XP 1800+ cpu all laying around. I have 3 motherboards that won't power on with any of the above cpus.

Test that strip if you want to. I just took one of the 2400+ cpus out it's retal packing this past weekend trying to get a machine up as an FTP server. If you blow your CPU you can have one of my 2400+s.

This is what I'm trying to get rid of on ebay right now....

I need some new PC 2700 or better :(

My PC runs fine except for the low quality memory I have in it.
Tried to cut corners on two PCs I was building by ordereing cheap memory (save a whole $10-20 cost) and ended up having to use my good memory in place of the crap one to get the machines out on time.

*Never stick crap memory in a machine with onboard video*

Had some GIEL Golden Dragon Dual Channel Extreme memory and now have the cheapest stuff known to man....

are you serious?????? Although, I can't sell you anything...you have a '-1' rating..lol

Let me know if you are interested, I'm not sure if i can pull the item off of ebay?

CajunTech

Yeah, that -1 sucks. I still have 20,000+ magic cards to sell. About 1000 of which will sell for $1.00 or mote. Thought about selling them individually to get a high ebay rating :)

The auction already hit $32 and will probably get to $40ish or so. I'd say take that :)
I can buy a new board for not much more than that and I already have the processor for it.
