trying to decide on a new headset with Mic. (cause I can't find my old boom mic, and it was crap anyway)

just wondering if anyone has some input one way or another.

I'm looking at logitech:

anything wrong with the logitech? or just no experience with them?
they are about same in price and tech specs. I was leaning towards the logitech because of the design. (I like the behind the head band. that's how the headphones I use now are)
but if the plantronics are better performers I will definitly go with them.

The plantronics 90's and the DSP 500's (what I'm using now - same as the 90's but w/ a DSP in the "chain" and a USB connection http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat640035/cat1430032/prod440044) have the best accoustic responce and sound quality of any headset I've tried, with the exeption of +$250 studio grade headsets...
I don't think you can go wrong w/ them! Actually sound like they have a Sub-Woofer in them!

I have plantronics headset right now (granted, it's a different model...the DSP-500's like Max has), and the things freakin rock. VERY clear sound, no distortion etc. I've not had much experience with logitech, but I don't like (and this is just personal) the behind the head band thing.

Yeah - Tech and I have the same headsets - the DSP 500's but the 90's are the EXACT same headset! The only difference is the Digital Signal Processor!

And I have to admit that my headset actually "belongs" to Maverick - he got it in some kinda funky way (can't remember how now)- but I fell in love w/ it, he never used it, and because I'm a poor, always broke IT guy he let's me "borrow it"!

Hey make it easy! Go to Bestbuy and buy the Altec Lansing comfy models! I have 'em and they're great! Volume control on the line and confy ear cushions! Not to mention full spectrum sound! Oh yeah! And cheap! Especially when you have the Bestbuy credit card! er w00t

I vote Plantronics as well. The sound quality for gaming and playing music is awesome.

Besides, I bought them at Best Buy and also paid $5 for a warranty. I've already spilled juice and stepped on 2 different pairs and brought them in and replaced them with a brand new headset. However, that's not what I told the guy. I told him the mic didn't work...he was speechless. OMG hax! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'd have to go with the plantronics also. I bought the audio 90 about a month ago and they rock. Its like having surround sound in your headphones. Great for music and gaming.

Of course anything would have sounded better than those crappy headphones that I had. Wally world specials.

I have the logitech headset. I like it because it goes around the back of ur head and it has places for ur ears to fit and it doesnt slide of ur ears. But that just what i like, i might have these but get what YOU like.
