they are said to be stupid. So they will run straight into you and knock eachother out. Someone told lauren that 17 years ago he remembered looking outside, and it looked like the ground was moving there were so many. They leave a realllly nasty smell when they all die off.. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Was anyone around during the summer of 94 or 95 in Ruston when all the crickets were swarming, that was weird, they were everywhere..yuck, it was weird to hear crunch when you walk everywhere.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn one year I was up there for a job fair and the crickets were a swarming. They would find their way under or around the hall doors and be scattereda all up and down the halls. Thought it was the end of the world.

lmao on the crickets, that was my first or second summer in Louisiana (from Canada like you didn't know that). I worked at Grandy's on louisville for about 3 months and everytime I took the garbage out to the bin, i literally had to scrape the bottom of my shoes off. I was truly ready to move back to Canada then...lol it was uterly disgusting.

I hate to sound like a girl. But, ewwwwww. I totally agree. They said that when you drive, you smack into hundreds of them, and that they stick to your windshield and washer fluid doesn't take it off. God knows how many accidents these stupid things will cause in WV, land of idiot drivers!

And I remember the Tech Cricket swarm, and the 17 year Cicada infestation a few years ago -- was eerie sitting on the porch hearing the droning buzzing of thousands of these things. went on for a few weeks, and then one day, it just wasn't there anymore. Kinda freaky.
