Last night an Army helo went missing near Florence, SC. The area they are searching is the Great Pee Dee river swamp area - this ain't the best place to land a helo, guys. M@lachi knows what I mean when I say a fox has a hard time running through this stuff. (thick trees, thick underbrush, briars, gators and the river itself). Being on the local fire department I am pretty sure I will be in the woods when I get home if they don't find these guys before I get home. Please send some prayers our way to help find these soldiers ... I'll keep informed as I find out from our local fire command ....

Yea goose, if ya need any help man, just ask bo.. That helo, was it from Shaw AFB? Cause around Shaw AFB there are alot of trees and swampy lands.. Keep em in my prayers man, and good luck..

actually if i remember right it was coming to florence from fort bragg but im not positive. It was on a training mission

Bad news - crew did not make the crash landing. Remember the families of these soldiers as you go through your day.

And yes it was a training mission from Bragg to Florence and then Back - they didn't make it back.

:( I used to live right around there, nothing like that ever happens in florence, and I can imagine how hard it musta been to find em through all that. Such a sad thing when things like that happen..

Heard that on the news on the way to work. Sorry to hear that they didn't make it. Hopefully they weren't in any pain and it was over quickly for them.
