This letter was sent to President Bush

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind. I lost my job this
past year. When Clinton was president I was secure and prosperous, but in
the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete
with foreign labor. This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad
conditions. They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job.
This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the
place where I had worked for 34 years. Not a single government program was
there to help me. How can Bush call himself "compassionate?" Far worse, I
lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for
their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My
pain of losing my sons is indescribable. While it is trivial next to the
loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply have
nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people
like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a
position where I can begin a new career. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in
the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in
the face and tell me you are a Christian! If I had any money left, I would
donate it to the Democrat Party. If Al Gore had been elected in 2000 I would
still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!

Regards,

Saddam Hussein

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From
1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked
us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never
attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,
an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never
attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by
Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated
two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaeda, put nuclear inspectors in
Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300
a year. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at
home. Worst president in history?
Come on!

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch
Davidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time
than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy
the Medina Republican Guard than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the police
after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquid****.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our military is truly effective...

But beyond even that ... notice how efficient we've gotten at engagements ...
hmmm .. This is an area within which we clearly excel .. I wonder how we are
doing in the areas of global relationship, diplomacy and economics???

We have proven that we can focus on an enemy and generally prevail ... an
interesting question is Are we better off for what we can do these days? Is our
quality of life a match for how we operate? Is it where we want it?

Just a little fodder for the thought bucket ....
