Was just wondering if you know of any decent hotels in the area for when eob & i come down for Arma? dont wanna get stuck in a nasty place when he's gone all day... just wondering. thanks

The fairfield at $55 is what I would do -- it's in West Monroe, not Monroe like a lot of the others, it's a less than 10 minute drive to the convention center, it's right on the interstate if you wanted to go to a mall that sucks :-), and it has all of the big chain restuarants there within walking distance (Chili's, Cracker Barrel, Outback, Logan's, Hooters, and a local Italian Resuratant I highly recommend, La Bella Vita.) Also Bennigans, and a Cinemark Tinseltown 17 screen theater are across the street/interstate, but you have to drive 5 minutes to get there (can't walk to it.) Plus the hotel is only a couple of years old, no more than 3. The Residence is right up the road a block or too, but I dunno what kind budget you're looking at, it will be more of a suite and I think it's a holiday inn company, but it's all how much you wanna put down for luxuries.

Well dirge, it was 60 for the dinner, and 20 more the movie, plus me having to drive an extra 40 mins to go get her and take her back and blah blah blah. Bottom line is that it was a waste of time and money.
