anyone around who can answer a quick, or not so quick question???

i installed my new h/d,.....device manager sees it and says it's working properly, but explorer doesn't see it..???? what am i doing wrong? I have it set so that my old 40 gig is the slave to the new 120 gig. i tried putting both h/d's as master on their own IDE but that didn't seem to do anything but confuse the pc. :(

you need to format it - right click my computer, manage, disk manager - you should see it there...

You may need to partition it first (before you format). Once there is a partition on the disk, the computer can see it (in Windows). Then you can format it as MadMax said

lol guys, well toby rescued me last night about 1 am....thanks for your help!

now if somebody didn't kick me off his ftp prematurely i would have had a nice little program to aid me in my adventure!!! omg hax!!!
