it might be - don't know about the "SE".

If all you play is CS, I know it'll be fine, but it may not handle the more stressful games that are just coming out, or will come out in the coming months.

And I'm NOT saying it won't play anything else - for example, I know the 9600 Pro and 9600 XT are GREAT cards, I just don't know what they have limited in the "SE" version. I'm sure it will PLAY anything that is out right now, just don't know how WELL it will play them...

Also depends on your CPU and RAM, etc.

RADEON 9600SE blows.. I just bought two for my new Dells and it sux. Built on old architexture and toned down a lot..

These are pretty good benchmarks of like 65 different video card chipsets.

Newegg is a real good site. For Counter-Strike even a cheap $40 Geforce4 MX440 w/64MB of memory will get you in the 90-100 framerate range.
